Whats so great about where you live? Do poeple underestimate where you live?

I live in CT, many think its boring with alot of trees. Yet I am an 1hr1/2 away from NYC and Boston. Also, the seasons change completely here: Winter is very cold but beautiful, Autumn is just as beautiful, Summers are hot, and Spring welcomes Summer. There is alot to do in CT, Hartford nightlife, Foxwoods Casino, and Mohegan Sun Casino. Yale University in New Haven, its beautiful. WE are also the home of Uconn!! Also, we have many huge malls here for shopping, and many retaurants to dine at:)

i live in california. we are the best state!! we have the best weather and many great interesting site seeing places. We have Sacremento, Los Angeles Hollywood, San Francisco. We go hard!! We have good malls. Manny good people that are not rude and racist!! There is plenty to do and you’ll never be bord!

There are no major chain restaurants in Fairfield County, CT. Why is this?

IE Olive Garden, Chilis, Pub 99, etc….

Because the developers hire people to scout out the best locations, Fairfield county may not be the best location. Also many of these chain restaraunts are franchised and as a result come from some investors pocket so that may be why you don’t see one in your area.

How did chef Bun Lai come up with the menu at MIya’s Sushi in New Haven?

Although the decor at Miya’s Sushi wont win any design awards, it is the awe-inspiring pan Asian sushi menu that draws the crowds. Chef Bun Lai is a New England legend and guests here have been known to drive hours to dine here. At Miya Japanese restaurant, the menu incorporates combinations of ingredients one would never imagine to work. My favorite is wild narrow leaved cattail with brie cheese and a lemon dill sauce, delicately rolled sushi style and tempura fried whole. Other favorites include, snapper infused with beets and hibiscus flower; kobe beef ginger wine nigiro; raw salmon with tomatoes, capers and yuzu served on crackling hot rice chips; jumbo soft shell crab wrapped in potato skin, topped with taosted havarti and thumbnail sized fried baby crabs; squid and balck bean in a squid ink and chicken broth flavored spicy sushi roll…you must try it for yourself to believe it.

i would love to try it, but now that you are marketing it on here, i dont think i can, because that is against ya guidelines and i dont want to get in trouble. thanks a lot for ruining it for me.

Looking for place that does flight of wines in Fairfield County, CT…?

I’m looking for a restaurant/bar/place that does a great flight of wines in Fairfield County, CT (closer to Norwalk/Stamford) for an amateur wine person. Want to find the perfect wine that I’ll love for all occasions that call for something a little fancier than a fuzzy navel mixed drink :) Any ideas where to go to do this?

Thanks!
